What we're about
Our Mission Statement Drawing, painting and sculpting the human figure from life has been an important part of an artist’s education and practice for centuries. Figure Session Pittsburgh exists to develop, improve, and utilize skills, resources and structure to provide Figure Sessions and/or classes open to Pittsburgh area artists of all skill levels. Good models being indispensable to its mission, Figure Session Pittsburgh develops and offers training and guidance for persons interested in becoming models for art classes. Figure Session Pittsburgh maintains a database of models indicating training, experience and qualifications. Schools, Institutions, and art instructors may apply to be an Associate Supporter. Associate Supporters receive regular updates of the model list, provide feedback on a model’s performance, and assist in furthering the mission of Figure Session Pittsburgh. How to Join Us
